I’ve made a number of things out of wood, from furniture to arrows.
These are some Polish-Turkish style arrows I just started experimenting with. The nocks are bloodwood, to simulate sappanwood or brasilwood. The fletchings are goose, tied on with silk thread. The thread is coated with hide glue. I left the shafts unfinished. The arrowheads are of varieties known to have been used in Poland. I might used tanged rather than ferruled heads next time.
Here is a wooden chest designed to hold weapons and armour. I’m not totally satisfied with it and I hope to make another one soon. It really should be of frame & panel construction. Here are a couple of camp pictures that show it.
Here is a wooden table based on one I found in a woodcut. The one in the woodcut did not have the shelf on the stretchers, but we've found it to be very handy -- I just made it from the scrap left over from the top. It is shown along side the woodcut it is based on. Careful observers will note that I didn't choose tusk tenons. My next one will use tusk tenons and the same style of legs as well. I liked the joinery of the table, so I made a bench in the same fashion.
